What to Expect

Consultation

To book an appointment, you’ll need a GP referral and any medical records of previous treatment or surgery. Then, call our receptionist or use our quick and easy referral online process to make your booking.

During your initial consultation, we will go through your medical history, discuss your concerns about your pelvic floor or colorectal health, and Dr Naseem Mirbagheri will perform a thorough evaluation and assessment. After this, she will talk you through your case, discussing various treatment options and developing your custom treatment plan.

Pre-procedure advice

Dr Naseem Mirbagheri and her team will walk you through your procedure step-by-step, explaining exactly how you need to prepare and what you can expect during and after your procedure. For general advice, please review our FAQs or recent articles or reach out to us with any questions.

Medications and health complications

Please inform us of any medications and herbal supplements you are on, any health complications, allergies, and family history of surgical complications. This is to ensure that the procedure is as safe as possible.

Liquid diet

Before your colonoscopy or surgery, you will be required to follow a liquid diet to clear your bowels. Our team will inform you of exactly what you can and cannot have before your procedure. Any liquids with strong yellow or red dyes should be avoided, and you may also have to take stool softening medication to assist with clearing your bowel. Please note that this diet usually needs to be followed for 24-48 hours before your procedure.
